The Slide Protectors (electrode pad protectors) are used to protect both freshly painted surfaces and the meter electrodes.

Best practice is to place the meter, record the reading and then lift the meter and place it in the next location to record the next reading. For users who prefer to slide the meter between readings, the slide protectors can be used to avoid leaving any marks on freshly painted surfaces and to reduce the wear and tear of the rubber electrodes caused by friction from sliding.
