The calibration check box allows for regular on-site calibration checks, so marine surveyors can confirm the meter is reading within factory tolerances before and during hull surveys.

To perform a check, place the Skipper 5 on the box in the correct orientation with the electrodes in position, then lightly compress the meter as when taking a reading.
